A Home Run of an Event
Nathan Hale Chapter and New Britain Assembly enjoyed a Rockcats game followed by a fireworks show together on Friday, August 15th. Deputy State Master Councilor, Andrew Birdsall and Nathan Hale Chapter Senior Deacon, Ethan Valencia had the privledge of throwing out the first pitch. The DeMolays and Rainbows in attendance had a wonderful time taking in America's pastime as, in a surprising turn of events, the Rockcats actually won a game. They beat the Harrisburg Senators 5-1.
However, that wasn't the only reason that the game was special. It also served as a celebration of Ethan O'Day's birthday! Happy Birthday, Ethan!
After the game members of the team's front office took the ice bucket challenge, then a stunning fireworks display lit up the night sky over New Britain, drawing oohs and aahs from the crowd that remained. In the end, it was a fantastic night for New Britain Rainbow and DeMolay.
