Legion of Honor Investiture

Saturday February 2, 2013, Connecticut DeMolay honored Dad Clifford "Chip" Stamm, Most Worshipful Past Grand Master of Masons in Connecticut and Illustrious Vernon Cleaves, a 33rd Degree Mason with their investitures as Honorary DeMolay Legion of Honor.  The recipients are well deserving Masons with a strong dedication to serving and caring for youth, not just Masonic Youth, but all young people by practicing charity and promoting the charitable works of Connecticut Masonry, notably by working with the CT ChIP program which has helped provide parents with identification tools of their young children, should the unthinkable happen and their children become lost.

The event was well attended.  4 Past Grand Masters participated in the ceremony and 3 others were in attendance.  Several 33o Masons were also present.  Many of the men in attendance were members of the Sphinx Shrine, who hosted Connecticut DeMolay for this event.  Potentate "Skip" Northrop brought the greetings of the Sphinx Shriners.

Dad Harry E. Needham III presided over the ceremony with Dads Kenneth Hawkins, George Greytak, William Greene, Gustav Bodine and Carl Ek completing the team.

State Master Councilor Matthew Lingenfelter and his Suite Officers provided the opening and closing ceremonies with distinction.
